  1. I notice a lot of posts saying that they were diagnosed in their 80's.

I just had my echo with 3D imaging to rule out Attr before my next ablaIation in 2 weeks. I am 71. I have many of the symptoms, and started with bad afib in my late 40s, carpal tunn
el, lumbar and cervical stenosis, But, it was attributed to my history of Psoriatic Arthritis that started in my 20s.
Now, I have added neuropathy in legs, feet, hands and chronic kidney disease, diastolic dysfunction, severe atrial dilation, pacemaker for Afib.
I also have lots of Irish DNA from both sides of my family ,and my mom's side are all from NW, Munster, County Mayo and West Coast in Ireland.
Tons of heart disease on Mom's side. My maternal great-grandmother and her son,.my grandfather both died at 57. Maternal uncle with severe heart disease, and my cousin, age 63 just had a heart attack and stroke. My mom had a stroke at 63, but lived to 87.
How many here have similar stories or had symptoms blamed on Arthritis or just aging?

What is the usual turn around for mortality once diagnosed?
Seeing these advanced ages in some posts is confusing to me.
    Appreciate any comments or info.
    Thanks
    Colleen
