Digestive issues

My biggest issue is stomach upset. I have diarrhea and constipation I take Linzess but it doesn’t seem to help. My doctor is not sympathetic. It dramatically affects my daily life.

  1. Thanks for the response. I am seeing a gastroenterologist. When I mentioned the possibility my condition might be affected by my ATTR he became quite angry and dismissive. He never even asked me about my symptoms. At least he didn’t fire me as a patient. But I also didn’t get any help. Of my many issues, the upset stomach and diarrhea are by far the worst. Now I also know that I can’t get any help as there are no doctors here with expertise in this area. I guess my advice to othered is to be careful how you discuss such a complex condition with your doctors. You must appear to be a supplicant and an idiot. I’m being serious.

    1. , that' reprehensible! You shouldn't need to be a supplicant to receive care. There are a couple of resources that might be helpful in finding someone with the ethics and curiosity to help you find relief:

You should be on equal footing with your care team, feel uninhibited in discussing your experiences. I hope this can help you find that partner. - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

  2. Hi , have you spoken with your doctor about a referral to a gastroenterologist?- Warmly, Donna (Team Eber0
